Loftware/ Windows 10 Upgrade



Why is this happening?

Parker’s enterprise label management solution provider, Loftware, Inc. has announced a new software update to support Windows 10 operating environments. This update will require that both Parker and all remote printing locations be upgraded. As a reminder, every PTS User that currently prints PTS Labels via the Loftware software platform will be affected by this change.



(warning) Notice: Please note that once all servers have been upgraded (Approximately May 2019) that Loftware will no longer support Windows XP operating environments. Users will need to install the their Loftware Client on a PC operating Windows 7, 8 or 10.



What will happen next?

The Loftware/ Windows 10 upgrade implementation will begin with users on server 4. Users will be notified when their printer server is selected for migration and will be provided optional dates to schedule the transition. Because this upgrade requires an action on both your part and Parker’s, we must coordinate certain aspects with each user location.

The process should take only a few moments, however a PTS or Network admin at your location may be required to make Loftware changes to your PC or server. You must choose a date to upgrade, or your printing capabilities may be interrupted. 


On your “selected” scheduled Loftware Server Upgrade Date, the following steps will be required:

Step 1: Stop Loftware Service on the server or PC where it is installed (this will pause ALL Printing).

Step 2: Uninstall Existing Lofware Listener application

Step 3: Download Loftware Listener Client version 12.0.2 (link available here)

Step 4: Enter the new Loftware URL (will be provided by PTS Team) and enter existing Loftware User Credentials.


(warning) Notice: If you do not have your Loftware credentials, please email our support team and they will be sent back to you via email PRIOR to the install date.

DO NOT take any action to update or modify your Loftware Listener software or Loftware settings prior to your scheduled date. This will cause all printing functions to stop.
