PTS 3.0 FAQs

Why is my PTS Legacy username failing?

a.       PTS 3.0 requires users to login with their email address. If your email address is associated with multiple accounts in the PTS Legacy platform, you will have access to all accounts when logged into PTS 3.0

Why can’t I see my printer?

a.       Contact the PTS Team for Loftware Spectrum credentials to setup your printer for printing from PTS 3.0

Will our Loftware licenses be impacted?

a.       Parker is upgrading from Loftware Web Listener, to Loftware’s cloud based version, called Spectrum. All accounts that print labels will install the Remote Print Agent (RPA) to establish the connection between your printer(s) and PTS. Further communication will be provided to assist with this process.

When will additional features become available?

a.       The PTS Team will continue development and notify users as more features become available.

When will other account users receive access to PTS 3.0?

a.       Once the Account Administrator has logged into the system, they will have user permission to add additional users. If assistance is needed, please contact the PTS Support Team (support@parkertracking.atlassian.net).

Will APIs be impacted?

a.       If currently interfacing with PTS via our XML web services, when you are ready to fully switch from PTS Legacy to PTS 3.0 in a production capacity, you will need to, at minimum, change the target path of your XML requests. We'll be using a temporary re-direct to keep your requests flowing into the PTS system using the same schema you are using today. At a later time, we will require a move to an updated JSON format for your requests to continue to function in PTS 3.0.

Can I use Legacy PTS and PTS 3.0 at the same time?

a.       Yes, both systems function in parallel. Users may login to both environments to create assets and print (once your printers are setup in PTS 3.0).
